Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Regional Counterattacks.
Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations across the region in response for a large-scale and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone in the area of the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The scope of any damage is not yet known and the United States has not commented.
Airspace Engagements
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to American military installations - stated they have shot down missiles in their air space.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard declared it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on Iran initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - executed at around 06:15 GMT - has so far focused on sites linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.
Regional Fallout
In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and destroyed a number of missiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted debris fell on a populated district in the capital, resulting in some material damage and the death of one civilian.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
