LA Explodes in Celebration as Los Angeles Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters across the globe united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Local events included a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show countless of Los Angeles residents flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an translator.
The procession path concluded at Dodger Stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Festivities started prior to the procession, with supporters setting off flares in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.

In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a less warm reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering appear to show him walking onstage to a mix of applause and boos, with negative shouts punctuating his address.
The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed as much if not more support.
“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
