Soccer Expert Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the global hiatus, however can the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Parenting Experiences

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this game will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was still that team's coach.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a blip.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or support Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.

Fulham have got lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

Their display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of October.

However I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the teams who benefit from the {international break|
