The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will depict a version of that character re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and anime.

The new cast member is joined by multiple fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to life, including leader the main antagonist, brought to life by the seasoned performer, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who also joins the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.
